Spectator accounting, facility securing, and fee collecting is not conducted as thoroughly as would be expected. Production companies are trying to fight this phenomenon by visiting cinema halls, but this does not induce the expected effect. These monitoring visits are carried out sporadically, not accomplishing thorough general spectator accounting. Merely a broad observation may be made, along side human error, which provide for accurate calculations, real security and meaningful statistics not being possible.
Senesys has resolved these problems, in client cinemas (Cinema Halls), by developing an essentially new product – Specialized Orwell 2k Cinema. O2k Cinema algorithms includes award winning security features, with additional cinema based spectator calculations and specific statistics. Specialized Orwell 2K Cinema is one of a kind, the only system offering real technological solutions to these existing problems.
Orwell 2k Cinema statistics are implemented in scheduling, planning repertoire of cinemas, and tactful ticket pricing.
Orwell 2k Cinema provides automated calculation of spectators during showings at cinemas and multiplexes. All calculations, statistics, and security footage may be viewed, from anywhere, via the internet.
Orwell 2k Cinema - Operation
The Orwell 2K Cinema System operation is based on unique computer sight technology, which distinguishes objects and divides them into specific classes.
The fragment above, of the Orwell 2k-Cinema system, demonstrates intellectual processing of a cinema hall. Each seat is parked by an event specific color. Blue marked seat means that the seat is empty. Greed marked seat means there is an object (bag, coat, etc.) in the seat. Yellow marked seat means a spectator is occupying it. Red marked seat indicates movement is occurring, and classification is in process.
The Orwell 2k Cinema system interface is convenient and user friendly. The operator screen shows separate images from a cinema hall mapped together as a single image. This union of information allows calculations and statistical information to be accurate and meaningful.
The system functions without the use of additional illumination. Watec (Japan) WAT902HSupreme video cameras are used as system sensors. Orwell 2K cinema does not lower the enjoyment of film viewing.
Orwell 2k Cinema - Possibilities
Videos from cinema halls are viewable in real-time or from archived recordings
If an auditorium is monitored by several video cameras, the Orwell 2K Cinema system "splices" the images to unite a single image for viewing on the operator screen.
During archiving and viewing of Orwell 2K Cinema video, each image is accompanied by specific definitions including the hall number, date, time, and quantity of spectators.
All video is typically stored for 4 weeks. This and other data storage durations are adjustable.
A calculation of the number of spectators in each cinema hall is made according to viewing sessions. This information is stored for statistical purposes.
During each session, a series of spectator calculations occur at preset moments relative to the beginning of a performance.
Images and data regarding spectator attendance are stored in a database, for a preset duration of 6 months, this value is adjustable.
Quantitative data and photos regarding occupied seats are viewable from remote internet access.
