Orwell 2k Cinema Possibilities

Orwell 2k Cinema

Spectator accounting, facility securing, and fee collecting is not conducted as thoroughly as needed. Production and cinema companies lose money because of customers not paying. Seat sensors and employee presence have both been implemented, but both are inaccurate and expensive.

Senesys has resolved these problems for client cinemas by developing an intelligent video surveillance product - Orwell 2k Cinema. By utilizing award winning security features of Orwell 2k with additional cinema-specific attributes for spectator accounting and specific statistics. Orwell 2K Cinema is a one of a kind system solving a very old problem.

  • Orwell 2k Cinema statistics are implemented in scheduling, planning, and tactful ticket pricing.
  • Orwell 2k Cinema provides automated calculation of spectators during showings at cinemas and multiplexes. All calculations, statistics, and security footage may be viewed from anywhere, via internet.

Orwell 2k Cinema system operation

The Orwell 2K Cinema System operation is based on unique computer sight technology identifying objects as 3 specific class types.

The fragment above, of the Orwell 2k-Cinema system, demonstrates intellectual processing of a movie theatre. Each seat is marked by an event specific color.

  • Seats marked with blue are empty.
  • Seats marked with green have an object (bag, coat, etc.) on the seat.
  • Seats marked with yellow are occupied by a spectator.
  • Seats marked with red indicate movement is occurring, classification is in process.

Orwell 2k Cinema interface is convenient and user friendly. The operator screen shows all images from a movie theatre mapped together as a single image. This union of information allows calculations and statistical information to be accurate and meaningful.

The system functions without the use of additional illumination. Watec (Japan) WAT902H Supreme video cameras are used as system sensors. Orwell 2k Cinema does not affect film viewing.

Orwell 2k Cinema Possibilities

  • Videos from movie theatres are viewable in real-time or from archived recordings

    • If an auditorium is monitored by several video cameras, the Orwell 2K Cinema system "splices" the images to unite a single image for viewing on the operator screen.
    • During archiving and viewing of Orwell 2k Cinema video, each image is accompanied by specific definitions including the hall number, date, time, and quantity of spectators.
    • All video is typically stored for 4 weeks. This and other data storage durations are adjustable.

  • A calculation of the number of spectators in each movie theatre is made according to viewing sessions. This information is stored for statistical purposes.

    • During each session, a series of spectator calculations occur at preset moments relative to the beginning of a performance.
    • Images and data regarding spectator attendance are stored in a database for a preset duration of 6 months, this value is adjustable.
    • Quantitative data and photos regarding occupied seats are viewable from remote internet access.
