Orwell 2K Radar

Orwell 2k Radar is an analytic radar surveillance solution for high risk facilities. A network of Orwell 2k Radar systems may be installed to identify and inform an operator of the presence, location and speed of humans and vehicles. Orwell analytics allow a single operator to monitor an area of over 90 square kilometers (depending on activity level) with more accuracy than 5 square kilometers without Orwell analytics.

Orwell analytics function with Radar object detection to create a digital map of objects in the viewable area. The digital map is used to view the relative location of all objects and tracking of all possible threats.

The Orwell 2k Radar system can detect humans at a range of 1 kilometer and vehicles at a range of 1.7 kilometers. Detected objects are also tracked by rotary cameras, as in other Orwell 2k systems. As the threats approach the secured facility, and are in range of video cameras, Orwell 2k Perimeter may begin to track the objects detected for a multi-layered detection scheme.

The combination of Orwell 2k Perimeter and Orwell 2k Radar nearly eliminates the non detection possibility of an intruder, allowing significant time for an appropriate response to the threat.

All Radar stations and integrated video surveillance system cameras are calibrated to a drawn or captured satellite image. Locations of Radar stations, cameras and targets detected are presented as interactive illustrations. Each radar and camera feed may be viewed by clicking the digital map's illustration of it. Selecting a target on the digital map instructs Orwell 2k to track it.

Integrated security system


ORWELL-R radar can operate both independently and as a part of integrated security system. Several arrangements may be created for video and radar integration including: Orwell 2k Radar detects and identifies targets, their speed and location, and reports the information to the Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) video cameras.

When the targets approach a distance viewable by intelligent video surveillance cameras, the intelligent video and radar surveillance systems interact to combine information attained for multi-layered security.
